Hamburger Deliverance

I was approached on Twitter the other day by an interesting-looking purveyor of food, asking whether I had previously had the opportunity to sample their burger wares, by the name of Deliverance. I spoke to a couple of people who made some positive noises about this upmarket takeaway company, and promptly acquiesced to a lunchtime delivery goody bag.

Deliverance have kitchens dotted around London in Farringdon, Canary Wharf, Shepherd’s Bush, Battersea, Wimbledon, and Herne Hill, and deliver a range of food from categories such as Indian, Italian, Thai, and American Grill.

London's Favourite Burger Bun - As Voted For By You

For those who are regular readers of m'blog, you'll know I've been running a poll for a few months asking people for their burger bun preferences. I now have enough responses (120) to put together a brief infographic on burger bun preference among London's burger loving population.

So what do you think - Bun Win, or Bun Fail?

For my next poll, I'm taking a view on your top burger cheese - check out the poll widget in the right-hand column.

Smoking Burger Feast at the Draft House Tower Bridge

Ever since Daniel Young's BurgerMonday at the Draft House Tower Bridge which I sadly wasn't around for, I have been wanting to get my hands on some of those drool-inducing burgers. So imagine my excitement when I heard that Charlie McVeigh, owner of the Draft House chain, had started running their pragmatically named Burger Feast. I had to have it!
So I gathered a small cross-section of burger lovers from our fair London city, and agreed a time and date for our burger feast. So, on a cold Tuesday evening in February Draft House Tower Bridge hosted a bunch of hungry burger punters.

Designed for 8 or more people, and costing £14.95 per head, the Burger Feast incorporates three (yes three!) Draft House created burgers matched with beers from their expansive range, and includes enough sides to sink a ship.

Steak+ scores a C minus - 73 Grays Inn Road

Location: On 73 Grays Inn Road, that's the slightly dilapidated bit near to Andrew's, the greasy spoon caff that sets hearts and pulses racing with the amazing one-off BurgerMonday events run by Daniel Young, sits Steak+

Either side of the door as you enter sit glorious buffets - on the left a salad buffet boasting about 15 different salads from mixed leaves to roasted aubergine and yoghurt, and . The decor is predominantly far eastern, ornate chairs sit mis-matched around tables, and pictures of eastern landmarks adorn the walls. It's quirky, and I quite enjoyed it.
